I'm the same as you. I'm a lefty also.

I love the Wacom Tablet but I never use the control buttons on the side for that same reason.

Ive got a Wacom tablet at work... I love it. Especially in Flash... when you use the pen and Flash smooths your handwriting. Its pretty nifty.

I'm a lefty too, I stopped using mine right away when I realized my keystrokes wouldn't be to useful anymore.

And I don't know about you other leftys, but i use my right hand to use a mouse, but my left to use a pen.

Another lefty here. Maybe we need a forum for lefty's only. I am the same way NYC, right hand on the mouse left hand with a pen.

Has anyone used the new 21" Cintiq? If I had $2500.00 to blow i would have one this afternoon.

Guess you're all Mac-heads. I mean, I've got Ctrl on both sides on my PC. But anyhow, if it's the right click access you want (I presume that's the Mac Ctrl-key thing), the Wacom driver has a nifty little switch you get through on the 'Options' button on the bottom called 'Side Switch Expert Mode'. With that on, you hold the switch on the side, and THEN click with the tip to do the same thing.

Oh, and if you want to add Ctrl to any of the tablet Express Keys, that's another option.

I'm a lefty, and I right mouse too. I type with the pen between my thumb and forefinger. (And my legs crossed to contain the excitement, of course)

With a statistically proven shorter life span and more prone to accidents, but hey, I wish I was ambidextrous like Dags.

My left hand is utterly useless. I am completely right handed. I'm one of those people that if you asked me to write my name with my left hand I run off to the corner and cry like an ostrich in an emu farm. Then again I have enough trouble writing legibly with my right hand.

I never knew that Ostritches were that sensitive. I lived near on in Santa Barbara, and one lone ostritch kept bobbing his noggin up and down like those plastic birds that sip out of a water cup. All day he did this. Well, at least when I looked over there from my driveway. MOST ODD!

But boy can they run fast!

MAN - if anyone sees my brain, please tell it to trundle on home.

What I MEANT to write was, "I lived near ONE (meaning ostritch farm) in Santa Barbara.

*sheesh*

Ariel,

I just put your brain on the train to Santa Barbara. I'm in San Diego...could take a while. Amtrak has to let the freight trains go by first.

Urstwile: I think I could walk to OC faster than the train from SB. However on one rather long trip a very nice guy shared his cooler of beers with me. *hic*

Run you crazy ostrich! He's gaining on us! PROTECT THE CINTIQ!

Ariel, I've taken the train a couple of times from S.D. all the way up, once to San Francisco, and once to Seattle. It's a great way to see the coast, but it definitely is not the quickest method of travel. It's always nice though when you can find someone who will share their beer. :D

Cnic, that's one cute puppy by the way. You should post a picture in the pets forum. :)

LMFAO with that Llama song! Tears in my eyes even! Of course, it IS midnight and I'm awaiting word from my web programmers in India that they've fixed my payment gateway so it will charge my customers more than $0.01 per purchase. *sigh* Chicken Tikka anyone? (and we give rubber duckies in different seasonal garb to our customers - this month's theme is Pirate Duckies)

*hic* Where's my flask anyway?

Urstwile - that's one LONG train ride! To Seattle even! More coffee to wake up after the beer. Yes, the beer DID help on mine. Even from SB to OC was tiresome.

CNIC - Lab? WAY cute! We have a chocolate lab - Samson. The kidlets LOVE to jump all over him. They're not scared of "big" dogs yet the little yippy ones make them all of the wiggy.

Hey Bartender - was that an ostritch dancing with a llama over there? DUCK! Yeehee!

Ariel,

The train was long, yes, but fun, and really cool to see a) how big California is, and b) how much it changes as you go all the way up.

That llama song was HILARIOUS!

Oh how I envy you all! I want one so badly, especially with the illustrator blood that courses through my veins... What are good ones that arent quite so pricey as this godly Cintiq you speak of??

The Intuos lines is good for stand alone tablets, look no further than a 6x8 for drawing purposes.

i used one of those Cintiq at the last MacWorld/Layers Expo.
Very nice! it really gets you into it more than a regular tablet does, but the response time is much slower than a regular tablet... or at least you can notice it more because you see how far behind the courser is from the pen when doing brush strokes.

i have a Cintiq 15x that ive had for a few years now. I love it but yeah the lag can get annoying. Ive been wondering if it would be better seeing as how Im new to the graphics industry to sell it and get a newer Intuos 3......a bigger monitor would help too
