I've been looking for an in-house design job for ages now but I never get a break. I've been working freelance for a looooong while now and im sick of it. I got a job for a design firm ages ago and im working for them now but it is freelance based and they send out work some times but it ties me up all the time. I know I shouldnt complain but it is just to hard to pay the bills. Any tips out there on how to get a good job when I say good I mean something that is not freelance. I know some people love it by I think its just not my cup of tee. Im going on an interview to a big company on friday but I know that they are going to say that I dont have enough in-house experience. It happens everytime any tips on how to get around it?

You HAVE to try to be positive at your interview. If you keep thinking it's not gonna pan out, then it's not gonna pan out. Even if you think your negativity is hidden inside, it could be showing when you interview.
Have you tried going through a job placement agency? Might be a good way for you to get your foot in the door and get that in-house experience you need.
Good luck!!

I'm kind of in the mode where I'm going around the agencies to gain more experience with a team environment. I went on a lot of interviews for agencies, and I got that same answer about not having in house experience. Often times small organizations are looking for graphic designers, and they are excited to meet people like us. I'm getting good experience, and working into an agency will be progressional. I'm going to work for a small magazine, with the same amount of employees you would find in an agency, so hopefully my experience will be comparable.

I actually got the job! I really thought I messed up but something must have made them interested. I'm really really happy. Thanks for the help.
