Hi guys, I have been designing this Magazine for about 6 months, now I'm working on other proyects and don't have time to continue designing the magazine, the magazine owner found someone else to design the magazine for him but he wants me to give this other designer all my work for the past 6 months so he can continue designing his magazine.

My cuestion is that, do I own any copyright on my work?
should I send all my work to the other designer?

I don't think this is right but I'm not sure, I belived that if you are a graphic designer you should be able to create a magazine from scrach.

Please help me I don't know what to do....

Thank you

are you a freelancer / independent contractor or are you an in house designer? I believe it makes a difference.

Hi guys thank you for your responces, I'm a independent contractor, and I don't have a contract becuse I did this as a favor to a someone I knew, in fact he did not payme the amount I ask him couse he was starting this proyect, now the magazine is well known, so i know he's going to make good money on this, but I don't have time or the will to keep designing it.

what do think I should do?

Thanks Againg..

If you don't have a contract, you really don't have much to stand on.

In the case of one, it's your terms in it that can determine who holds the copyright.

This has been a favor.

No contract- so you own the work.

You can do what you like- its yours.

As long as you have money to go to court.
