I have this job were the pictures is going to be monochromatic (hope i spelled it right?) Do I have to make any special settings on the pictures and how can I save them?

Usually I'll make it a greyscale image in Photoshop...then depending on your program you can change it to whatever you want. Like in quark for example you can import the image in, then change the colour using command + m.
