Hello, I am creating a logo for a Trap Shooting Software Program. I cam up with 2 ideas but I don't know if I really like them. I was hoping I could find some other to give it a try so I can find one I really am happy with.
I'm stumped! :)
Thanks for your help,
Jordan

I'm a prepress guy not a designer, so I really don't count. I think the first one is out of the question because it seems to relate to basketball. The second one (if shoot trap relates to shotgun shooting) I'd start out changing the fonts and adding a .com at the end like the one above and go from there. On weekends it's slow on this site, you'll get more responses during the week.

What about a series of discs at different sizes like clay pigeon moving over the top of the text to draw the eye in. P.S. I have shot trap many times.
I'm a trap shooter too. The shooters position is all wrong. I would google some images of a trapshooter and see how they stand & hold the shotgun, then create a sillouette.

You could make the series of discs ending as the dot in the web address. you coul even make them sort of at different angles. Hey, I'm really pushing this disc thing.

It would be nice to have a smashed disc, as if it has just been shot. Maybe where the dot is?

I like that idea but I don't think it would work as the dot then, when those things get shot they kind of desintegrate. You could use that though and just have them above or below the text and make the last one shattering into a gazillion pieces. That would be cool.

I would try pushing the disc idea and see how far you can take it. The bottom one looks to "bubbly", I dont shoot but it doesnt seem to fit the sport. Maybe some of the letters can have cracks in them and holes?

Moved to the showcase. http://home.comcast.net/~rnick9/koolsmiley.gif
You need a pencil and some paper.
These are all limited to the software.
Nothing is really working in any way/shape or form.
get some ideas then sketch.
harsh… but true.
