Agreed PD! I have my computer set up where I face the doorway so all ppl see is the back of my monitor when they come in. IF they come around to my side of the desk (GAWWDD I hate that for some reason!!) then I minimize or hide it under the finder! No probs!

AND if you do get caugth, remember this simple rule....'Act surprised, show concern, DENY DENY DENY!'
"The function of a warrior is to eliminate an exterior enemy presence. A warrior is an antitoxin, a protector. The warrior does combat where and when necessary and not otherwise. "

People at my work are too oblivious to know that I'm slacking off, and am not, in fact working. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY JOB ENTAILS! (And I like it that way.)

I think that PC command is Control + Sledge Hammer!
Magnus is right - NEVER ADMIT TO ANYTHING...
and D-zine is so right, never sit with your back to a door. As my uncle Sun Tzu always said, 'Face Your Enemies, Until a Boatload of Friends Arrives.'
PS - DF, love the sig - especially the ninth time through when that one girl escapes and the saga continues... very sweet.

When I worked in an office, it was the opposite. They didn't know what my job entailed so they always thought I was goofin' off when I had one picture or another on my monitor - I was either touching up a photo or looking for the perfect stock image or something. Ah well, I'm free now. FREEEEEEEEEEEE!
DZ, hitting CMD + Q only takes a second in theory. Just look what happened to Peter Gibbons in 'Office Space'!

CMD Q hangs on my machine at work trying to close this site for some reason. Windowshade is faster. Doesn't matter. The Big Brother log up front knows when I've been here and how long. New trick is to leave the site windowshaded all day...Ha!

On PC it is Alt + f4 to quit the program. Esc works sometimes.

D-F, I try to do as much of anything that I can... Did a bunch of corporate multimedia for awhile. Right now I'm working on a Pro-Bono animation that's turning into a full blown cartoon. It's always challenging and almost always fun.
Funny thing is, since 9/11 work has spiraled down into nothing for me. But, I'm getting a lot of remodeling done here at home. It's weird, you'd think someone with a decent portfolio could find some work - the San Antonio market is totally bizarre, though. I had an interview the other day and discovered the owner of the place was holding interviews and had not even looked at my online portfolio - go figure.
I must be a total cipher when it comes to job hunting and promoting myself - sent out about 200 rezes over the past two years... Freelance, Monster, Career-builder and other sites have produced just about zilch.
I tend to focus too much on the task at hand and not enough on political know-how in the marketplace... Could be laziness though... Hope not. Nah, couldn't be that. I work my ass off everyday at something. Probably some kind of deep-seated psychological scar from all those years of solitary confinement at a computer. And then, of course, there's that thing I have for Japanese schoolgirl samurais... whew! Those sox, those little ties, the white starched shirts... not to mention the knives and swords!
But I digress. Yeah, love anime, multimedia, director, flash and others. Video is the coolest!
Thanks,
BB

Aquent is decent. There's also www.icreatives.com/ (http://www.icreatives.com/), they don't have locations everywhere.
