Logo Advice

[Spectrix]

OK, so I had originally posted on here a logo design for my small business... but I decided to use the name of the business itself as the logo and play with the type.


Here are some revisions... still haven't decided whether to completely rid of the triangle or not. Some people suggested that the logo looks unbalanced without it.

I like the second one as well, for soe reason the "i" letter looks like it is a different font to me, not sure why and I could be totally wrong but it looks a little off.

I have to go with the first logo, maybe the second logo if the lower font wasn't so big. Try messing with the kerning so that the bottom line is even with the descender line of "Spectrix"

I dont think it is the "i" that throws you off but the "r" in #1 and 2. The stem of the r is just a bit narrower than the strokes of the other letters.

And #2 is the most interesting. Play around with the subheading there.

The x in number two looks like a sword. Any particular reason or justification for this?

No intention on making the x in the 2nd one look like a sword... I was just playing around.

Do ya'll think I should leave 'media' in with 'design and consulting'... to hint that we're a MEDIA design and consulting business?
