Spectrix Design & Consulting is a graphic/web design and computer consulting small business (as some of you know already from my previous posts).
Pick the logo you like the best, and if you feel like it, comment on why you picked the one you did. - For the logos with the graphics, it has nothing really to do with the name Spectrix, or what we do. They're just designs...
Thanks in advance for all who vote!

The triangle is a strong graphic and in logo #2 it looks very dynamic. To tidy it up a little, I would pull the tagline up to line up with the bottom of the triangle i.e. so the bottom of the d in design is level with the bottom of the p in spectrix.
#5 is downright confusing and muddled; #1 and 3 are ok; #4 is good too, but not as strong as the triangle in #2. The parts look too fragmented, like it's exploded!
Go with #2 !

I take the opposite view. I think #2 looks like it's been done before. #4 says a little more "the building blocks of great ideas" to me.

#5 hassomething going.
#5 icon does not quite come out clearly, perhaps you could incorporate the use of different shades of blue (rather than just grey) for the three letters in the square. I see this as serving as the symbol for your company that will make you stand out.
I recall that someone in another thread remarked that you logo is similar to another existing logo...

yeah.. the logos are too generic - almost templatey. I'm not going to vote, but just tell you to try another few comps, and this time think a little more about a meaning - something unique about you or your company other than just a hackneyed prism or a font pile. Ditch the gradient and drop shadow crutch, too. A good logo is as close to single color as you can get and an economy of curves and disjointed objects.

Yikes, another bug with the letters all wadded up in a square (#5).
That always looks tacky.

i picked 3 because it was the only one that seemed aligned. if 4 was better aligned and balanced i probably would have picked that one.

I picked #6 because it wasn't an option.
You've posted these twice already I think, and haven't changed anything. I think they all need some definate work.

I appreciate everyone's opinions... I thought by coming to the boards, it would help me make a decision. But everyone seems to like one or two or dislike them all. I think I've learned what I needed to know... and that is, go with what I like, and not worry about what anyone else thinks. :D
I'm going to work some with #s 2, 3 and 4.
Thanks for everyone's input so far :)

Yeah right.
Thanking everyone for there input and not even taking anyones advice into consideration hence the "I dont care what you say now, I'll go with what I like" crap, is kind of rude dont you think?
There are alot of people here who have been in business for plenty of years. It would be foolish to ignore the advice.
My 2¢
PS.. logo #2 still looks like the new sprint/nextel logo.

That's what you've done from the start. I can never understand why people post in here when they're not willing to take advice and change their piece. Like I said after three posts - you haven't changed anything or even narrowed down the choices.
BTW, putting a smiley face next to a fairly rude comment does not make it funny or good natured.:D

Whoa whoa whoa mac.finn and navian, what's with the attitude? I, in now way, intended to sound rude by my previous post. I'm just simply saying that even in the design forums, everyone's vote is split, because everyone has different opinions. And that in the end, my logo probably won't appeal to everyone. But the important thing is, that I'm proud of it and that I like it. Out of the logos I've posted so far, I'm not beaming proud about any one... which is why I'm still working and seeking advice.
And I HAVE taken into consideration all of the comments/suggestions by those who take the time to do look at my work. I haven't posted any revisions because I'm still working on that, and I'm sure most people who look at the forum are tired of seeing my logos!

no harm meant.
we have had to deal with a couple overly pompous (for lack of a better word) pancakers here before. Just on the attack I guess. :)
I retract my previous attitude :D (<-non-sarcastic smiley)

I'm so frustrated with this stupid logo and feel like I'm in the deepest design rut.

Some good points here, as I've been lurking about the shadows. :D
Lurkin' an' Learnin'.
I'm not seeing anything new/different from the last time you asked for opinions regarding these logos. If you're stuck, perhaps it's time to crack out the can of creativity on these. Howz' about some brainstorming.
When I think of 'Spectrix' I see/hear...Spectrum...like 'we do an entire spectrum of things' All encompassing.
Spectrum of colours. ;)

Hey.... I know that speech. I'm in the exact same funk with my own logo. I design it - then hate it - then design something else - then hate it - ad infinitum.
I'd hate me as a client.

No, it wasn't attitude at all.. I thought that when people give advice, and a statement with the bold, super sized "I", emphisized a selfish throw it back in your face attitude. I thought it was rude.

Best advice.. I'd like to ad, the "step away from the computer" bit too.. a little sketching, thumbnails.
Start out with 3 completly different approaches.. Then off those 3 create like 5 more veriations of those 3. then 3 more of each of the 5 veriations you should have around 48 different sketches.. If your not satisfied with anything out of those. dont start over, dont throw those sketches away (you can get ideas/insperations off of an old sketch, and you can check to see if you already tried a certain approach). Just start off with 3 more approaches and more veriations.
That is a sketching/brainstorming technique to get a ton of sketches without thinking of "48 sketches"

#3 is the only one which looks like it may be somewhat close to being finessed somewhere in the future. The solid circle bullet isn't working in my opinion - it is fighting with the oblong circles that resonate throughout the typeface of "spectrix."
Honestly if one of these must provide you with your solution, remove everything but the "spectrix" type, pay close attention to the kerning, and this will give you the best logo of the lot.
