Im looking to find psd or ai (or whatever files even jpg just in good resolution) files of the cutout borders that old b/w photos had once. U know those curly endings of the old photos.

Go to an antique store or ask someone if they have any old photos you can borrow and scan them in.

Lots of junk shops will sell old photos. There's a guy in Pollock, Louisiana who has gobs of them. He has no idea who any of the people are in them. I wonder what kinds of copyright issues would come up if you just used somebody's found family photo.

Since he'd just be using the frame, not the image itself, copyright probably wouldn't be an issue.

So you have no way of getting a hold of an old photo? Pretty much all I'd have to do is get some from my sister's collection of old family photos still in albums at home.

genik, I don't think urstwile was offering to send you any but rather asking if you know anyone that might have a photo album with old photos, you could use one to scan for your border. Perhaps a family member has a photo album?

Don't they have antique shops or second-hand (used stuff) stores in Europe?

Genik, don't they have libraries in Europe? I am sure you can get a hold of old pictures there and ask for scans of them, or scan them yourself.
