I just completed this, and it's my very first slideshow piece of its kind that I've done. I'd appreciate critiques on this. Weddings are a huge market in my area and I'm thinking it might be a good way to get some business.
Just so you know, this is not for a client. ;)

SnowAngel,
I'm not much on looking at slideshows, so I have to say I was skeptical when I clicked as I usually find they move either too slowly, or too fast. The timing you chose was perfect. Enough time to really see the picture, but also not so long that you're tapping at your mouse wishing there were navigation buttons to move the thing along.
I would maybe add some type of player controls (pause, stop, rewind, etc.), if that's not too hard for you to do. Then again, I don't know if that type of thing is typical for these types of things, so maybe I'm off base here.
But otherwise, I liked it very much. I especially loved some of the shots where the wedding party is walking down the road, and the group shot outside of the whole group from an aerial standpoint, and the black and white shot was really cool. Did you take the pictures also?
The only other thing I noticed was that I thought that some of the cropping could have been a little better on a couple of the shots, specifically in the Joy section, where, I guess that's the groom's mom and dad coming in, there were a couple of those shots where there's a shape in the lower left corner that could have been cropped out, but not knowing the names of any of the people, I can't tell you specifically which ones they were, it was early into the Joy section, is all I can say. :)

Thank you for the compliments! I'm actually quite proud of it, for a first piece. I did not take the photographs, however I did have input on some of the posed concepts. ;) Player controls are available, however I took them off since I found them slightly distracting. Once the rest of the site is ready, though, I'd like to give the visitor an option of just going right into the website and 'skip intro'. That's so cliche now, blech...so I'm trying to think of something fresh to have as an option.
Again, thanks!

SnowAngel,
You did a really good job.
In terms of the player controls, I was thinking something along the line of iDVD player for Mac, and I think there are probably similar ones out there if you're on PC, where you can move your mouse into the screen to bring them up, otherwise, they're not visible, so they're not distracting, but the viewer can get at them if they wish. I think Powerpoint has something like this as well for its slideshow mode.

Looks very nice SnowAngel. I agree with Urstwile... the timing was great.
The only thing I can think of to mention (and I hesitate to .. I think you did a wonderful job) is possibly a volume control as part of the controls if you add them.
get it perfect in timing , script it up dynamically in flash and see the money flow, lol
My only thought was that the pictures could be a little bigger. Nicely done though.

very nicely done, but please put on a mute button. Personally I never stay on a website that forces me to listen to their music. I generally have my own music on when on the computer, and the mix of the two is normally horrible!

id make the load screen a bit more classic and gentle... seems like it belongs on a flash game at the moment especially the spinning ball thingy.
cool photos though, did you do them?
