Hello!
My name is Ben and I am an artist and I also design websites. I work from home and really need critiques on my designs so I am hoping some of you can help me out!
Please view the site I just created and would like critqued here:

looks ok - too many heavy drop shadows, and it could use a bit of life. It just says template to me though.
As I say - nice enough, but a little bit meh. Try adding some colour, and lose all the photoshop effects. the inner glow, and the drop shadows are far too heavy. Lose everything, then look to see where they'll be more effective.

I agree with Chris about the site looking like a template. I think the set up is great; looks very easy to navigate. I would just add some personal flair to it to make it more your own and unique, but keep the general layout.
And the dropshadows do look a little heavy but I'm sure you're already working on fixing that :) And I'm not sure if you have control over what pictures to choose from but the one in the middle with the two guys looks kinda..creepy. Because it's so small I couldn't really tell at first glance that the guy in the background had a neckbrace on, I thought he was just crouching about to attack the lawyer lol. I don't really like the photo but hey work with what'cha got :)

I like the layout, very nice. Just a little too gray. Ad in some blue thats a good cool color to ad to the nuetral color of gray - good combo for law firms. Maybe get rid of the drop shadows too, I greatly dislike most dropshadows on websites, but thats just me. nice work dude.
edit: actually, I think most of the drop shadows are working well, a few could be taken out.
