Nearly a year, but I am now FREE AND CLEAR of all things from my previous employer. I just unloaded my stock options after getting the restriction lifted, and I'm a happy happy man. Not bad for a profit...5 times profit on the original purchase price! Now I can get some things in order and maybe (maybe) think about picking up a imac. A fool and his money part quickly though, so I really need to weigh whether or not it's a justifiable purchase.
Thanks for the people that answered the questions I posted earlier this year, helped me along quite a bit.

Sweet! Do you know what's just a fun as being free and clear or your old employer? Hearing your old employer isn't doing well and people are getting their hours cut back. It's only fun in the fact that you got out of there before the sh!t h!t the fan, but otherwise it's not really fun at all. It's never good when people lose their jobs, and escpecially when it's people you know. You know what? It's not fun at all. It's just makes you grateful it wasn't you.

Put it somewhere where it will earn a bit of interest but you can get it if you need it. You never know when something will come up. (as I have learned)

etrade's bank account or money market, whatever they call it, earns 5% intrest, not to shabby. ing is also a good place
If you are looking to buy a new computer Wait until WWDC in early August. Who knows what they might unveil. A new full screen ipod to go along with their movie rentals - New Intel desktops - iMac revisions. Who knows but I would hold on to that cash for just a couple of more weeks ;)
