I'm very jealous! I've had several friends all go out to cally for this show, and it's HUGE. They even make mention of it on yahoo.com.

I hope it's a fun show, I went to Anime Boston 2006 for all three days, and wow this is something I'd like to get more involved in. So I'm currently in process to assist Another Anime Con with their collateral. Oh yes, that particular con's name is 'Another Anime Con' its up in New Hampshire.

So I know Danedawg went to comic con, anyone else out there...Defjoe? other comic/anime/horror peoples?

speak up now

Comic Con is real? I thought it was a fictional deal that only Seth Cohen went to...

I havent been to an Anime-con since the 90's. All I remember is throwing down wayy too much money on anime while I was there. $30 VHS tapes add up quickly.

it was sooo cool. i went for all four days plus an hour of wednesday night, and STILL didn't see everything! I'm reallly tired now, tho. walking all 4 days, will take it's toll. overall, tho, i wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I met alot of comic creator gods there, and got photos with John Romita and Jim Lee. I met john on accident, tho. My wife and i were looking at the new Ghost Rider motorcycle from the movie, and I hear this voice off to my left, sying, "Oh this isn't the MarvelBooth, its the Marvel TOYs booth. We're in the wrong area." So I look and there's John romita (the guy who visually defined Spider-man anf the entire marvel universe throughout the 60's, 70's ans 80's. I was awestruck. I asked him for a handshake, because that's as coherent as my mind wanted to be, I jus completely geeked out. My wife was like, ask him fora picture, stupid! so i did. It was neat! I'll post pictures tonite after work.

Lol last year when I volunteered at Wizard world boston, there came in Mankind...like 10 feet from me, I was working the greeting table though so I couldn't talk to him

some lady from buffy was also there, to many people trying to hump her leg.

I enjoyed myself though, to bad no wizard world boston this year, they didnt even get more than 8k visitors. I think more people went to anime boston than that, and anime boston is an independent outfit!

Anime boston I sat in on a convo with Vic the guy that did Ed's voice in Full Metal Alchemist. Nice conversation.

Good luck with that defjoe! I've been checking out some of the indies up here and they dont hold a candle to assasins guild...their comics are to short and the art isnt always that high of quality

I guess Mankind was there on Sunday, there was a line all around the vendor room for him. Stann Lee walked within 10 feet of me 3 times, but he was surrounded by big pancaking security guys, so I couldn't get near enough for a pic... :(
