Congrats!! I have a pretty light work week, too. I'm really happy about it! Not sure what I'm gonna do. What do you have planned? I at least plan to swim a lot while we don't have rain. Swam the last two days and I'm sore! I gotta clear my kids out of here so my husband can finish up a software project. Kids are so loud!

It sucks, being where you are, have you looked at working in the schools maybe, local college jobs might be nice.

I'm getting tired of where i am pretty quickly

I'm thinking of going back to school for a different major altogether. I've almost had it.

have you considered the fire dept roobs?

my friend is in it and he loves it...works 2 24 hours shifts a week, and that gives you time to run a business on the side

Might be a good idea, but I still don't know. I've been having my doubts about this career direction as a whole lately. The best logo idea I've had in 2 years since I've been out of school has been torn apart, and going back and forth to my last college just to get updated portfolio projects done at night is really taking a toll on me. I don't know.

Don't lose heart Reub, I think alot of designers go through that stage. Its most important to keep at it now while you struggle. Your "plateau" will eventually crest.

I know a few times I thought I had had enough of the industry. I just changed my focus on what I wanted to accomplish. Doing so now actually. Current job isn;t SUPER DUPER in the area I would like. But while here, I try to concentrate on upgrading myself.

This forum is great, you get alot of great perspectives on feedback (both the good and the bad).
Chalk it up as a bad day and keep at it. Maybe you just need a little break.

Stay cool pony boy, stay cool

i dont know if i should stick in production or go further into design myself, there is money to be made in production, and it is quite respectable, does mean i should learn how to work a press. My other thoughts are to get into teaching at a tech school.

So many paths wish i knew what to choose...then again there is this japan thing I wanna do too, that could change everything

as far as plans...well I took a couple days off, need to recoup, and the carp is calling me. Plus an update on my current portfolio site is sorely needed

oh wonderful...the two chickas I work with both seem to be in a sour mood.

trying to hire somebody does that too you, especially when the favorite canidates both turn it down because of such a low wage...HAHA Ironic

This weekend I'll be attending the wedding of one of my wifes high-school friends. Not really looking forward to it. Also going to the beach. And taking care of 1.3 million chores.

Kat, how many and how old? Your days sound a lot like mine! Work, kids, food, kids, food, car for hours, kids, food, work......

I have too many dynamics in my house. 13 year old girl, 12 year old boy and 3 year old girl. Between parties and clothes and video games and dora, I'm never sure which way I'm spinning.

It was really interesting when we had the alzheimers patient...."No, 13 people are not coming to dinner. There is no bar-b-que. Please stop setting the table over and over!" 20 minutes later..."Okay, you win! Let's just leave the table set for 3 days. If noone comes over to eat, then I'll clean it up." 20 minutes later..."Okay, we left the table set for 3 days! I'll clean up. The party was a great success!!" Never a party, never 13 people, all a delusion! Just play along!!

I have three little nieces .... who drive me batty but I love them to death ... I am like the second mom.... I take care of them while their mom ( my sister ) works ;)

They are 5, 7 and 8 ..... and very ..... verrrrrrrry full of energy.

Today I got them busy with Paper and Markers... they love that ... When they got tired of that I let them pic coloring pages on the spongebob sites and Bratz sites.. kept em busy for hours :D

They think its very kewl to pick out just the right coloring picture.

I have to say one of my all time favorite episodes is the swearing episode.... where the fog horn goes off every time they say a swear word.

I was in tears I was laughing so hard ....... maybe partly because I had been drinking.... :D
