Hi I have created three layers in photoshop.
One is my sketch scanned layer one is a white bg and one is a lineart layer I am supposed to be using the pen tool on to create an outline based on my sketch layer.
I have used the pen tool on my sketch layer by accident and would like to be able to copy all of this to my lineart layer to save me doing it again. The transparency of the sketch is set low and I would like to be able to use the stroke path to drawer my better pc version on the lineart layer. You understand what I am trying to do but is this possible??
Thanks
Rob

okay im super lowballing on this answer, and its a longshot, but im figuring since you used the pen tool it made your sketch layer a 'shape' layer? if that happened then go to Edit>define pattern, name it something like sketch outlined or something. then re-open your original sketch graphic, go to custom shape tool (in the palette, looks like a blob) and at the bar on top find your shape that you named, and hold down ctrl+shift when using it to keep it scaled. thats the best i got, anyone else?
oh yeah and what version of PS and what OS are you running? the example i used above is for ps 7 or newer
I got banned from cybertarp...boohooooo

Not sure I understand completely, but it shouldn't matter what layer you did your path on because all your paths are stored separately in the Paths palette (as opposed to the Layers palette). If you want to duplicate your path, just drag your path to the new path icon and it creates a copy of that path. (See attached picture.)

hrmmm...are you trying to say that you made the pen lines on the same layer as the sketch and now they are merged? If so, theres not really anything you can do unless you saved a snapshot or still have the history pallet open, which i doubt cause this was posted a while ago lol.....but make sure you have your pen tool set to create new paths on new layers ( in the upper left corner when the pen tool is selected, under the edit / file menus ) Also, im not sure if this is an assignment or anything, but adobe illustrator is almost always used to create paths with the pen tool in computer art, then you can just drag and drop it into photoshop /emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
