I sent my resume for this position that sounded perfect. Exactly the areas that I've working in for the past 6 years. My job now is a 40 minute drive every morning, this one would have been 15. Pay was awesome with a $1500 signing bonus. So, sent resume, called a couple days later to make sure they received it. They did receive it and I talked to the president of the company (it's a small family run company) who says he'd just sent me an e-mail with some questions. I answer his question over the phone and I have knowledge in all of the areas he has questions about. Phone call went well. He tells me he'd like to set up an interview and that I should look at my calendar and get back to him. So, I send him an e-mail (at his request) regarding times I would be available. He e-mails me back and says "a bunch of stuff came up" and that he'd call me this week. I just now got an e-mail saying that the position has been filled! I sent my resume the day the job was posted. Was called back two days after that and a week later, after being asked for an interview, they tell me the position is filled??? Once again I learn the lesson that if something seems too good to be true...it is! ARGH!
