I have a number of black and white photocopies i want to scan in and replace the blacks/greys with a single colour (red) whilst retaining the natural tonal adjustments of the photocopy. What is the best way of achieving this without having to select the black areas with the magic wand and filling. Is there a function which allows you to replace anything with a (K) value with a different colour?

Thanks

YDR.

In Photoshop, select from the menu bar-image-mode-duotone. Duotone dialog box appears, then select Type, drop down menu appears then choose monotone. Then double click solid black box and choose what ever color you want and say OK. Your scans must be a grayscale first before choosing monotone or duotone.
