Hello guys!!
I have a big problem. Im looking for a font manager that auto activate fonts when I open a file. (illustrator, indesign and freehand)

Where I work we have the Suitcase and it works perfectly. Yes, there I work with mac. But many times I have to send a work to my mail and open here at my home (winxp) to finish them. Its very frustrating have to install each font. Its very painful find font by font and install each one. I never seen a program that does it at windows, and now I really need it.

Any help is apreciated!

Thanks guys!!

I know Corel has one that comes bundled with their software. I tend to use ATM (Adobe Type Manager) and it works great for me.

Corel's is Bitstream Font Navigator. DL the demo of Corel and it comes with
it. Not too bad of a font manager for free. I use Suitcase for the PC, and I like
it fine. The Corel download (version 12 was the one I got) was about 178 megs:eek:

Hey guys, thats exactly why im writing, because Suitcase for windows deosnt has any kind of "auto activate font" like I can find in the mac version. My biggest problem is it... I never found a program that does it over windows.

Does Bitstream has autoactivate feature?

Thanks again!!

I'm don't think autoactivation is possible on Windows, no matter what the font management software. I use Font Manager at home with Windows, and also in a previous job, and it certainly doesn't/didn't autoactivate, even using Windows XP. Fonts have to activated manually before the doc can be successfully opened. Fortunately, if you try and open a doc containing deactivated fonts, it will list them for you, and you can then open the font manager and activate them.

To address your concerns, we recently released a new version of our Suitcase for Windows product that includes auto-activation plug-ins for common graphic design applications. We now support auto-activation in Adobe InDesign CS2, Illustrator CS2 and QuarkXPress 7.

This release also adds Microsoft Vista compatibility as well as a number of other features.
