mouse disappears in mac OSX

I just brought a new mac OSX installed. when I do graphic design, sometime mouse disappears for a few seconds. Is it a bug or something ? - deepa http://www.krishnadasan.com

What program is it happening in?

Does the cursor disappear or does it turn into a spinning beach ball?

I've had weird things happen when using an optical mouse on a glossy tabletop but not having the cursor vanish.

Is your mouse wireless?
