You knew that eventually some critter was going to nail him, but even so it's something of a shock. I guess it's because after awhile he made me believe he was invincible. Guess not.

I feel bad for Terri (who as of this posting probably still doesn't know he's dead) and the kids.
What's even more surprising is that it really was a freak accident...stingray barb attacks (from the area he was documenting) are very rarely fatal. I think only one...well, now two...were documented.
RIP, Steve Irwin. You were a likable fella. I'm gonna miss you.
