I'm in search of simple, yet effective approaches for sending my print
portfolio in digital format to employers on the other side of the country. My web experience is limited at best, so I'm looking for a solid way to send my resume, pieces, etc. without looking like an amateur. Any insight would be appreciated.

Also, setting up a simple HTML site w/ images saved as JPEGs, whether the jpegs be flattened/finished views of your workfiles or camera pictures taken of the physical works.

Also, creating a PDF portfolio could help.

I did mine in PDF format too.
You can add interactivity (navigation etc) to a pdf pretty easily and it really jazzes up a simple slideshow type presentation.

I also did mine as a pdf. I had so many people asking for PDF files that I set the entire portfolio up as a pdf. Works great!

I had small pdf portfolio that I would email with online applications but I also had website which showed more stuff. I do think web is a good way to go. You can updated it any time you want - whereas the pdfs you send people will need to be resent when you update.
