What's up everyone? I'm a farely new designer from PA, and just wanted to say hello. I'm glad there is a forum for design, I work by my self and have a lot of questions on certain things. Are the people in here pretty cool about helping each other out?

thank you, well I normally work in photoshop cs, but recently I've been using illustrator cs.
and I can't figure out how to 'cut' objects. can you? and also can you make a double stroke around text? any help will be appreciated.

do you work by yourself too? it's cool, but it's nice to have someone else to help out, ya know.

Yea I know but this place is better. Oh in Illustrator you select a stroke width from the stroke dialog box. Stroke is the technical name for an outline.

But can you make say a white stroke, and then put a red stroke on top of the white one??

Just make a copy of the part you want then make the stroke thicker and red and send it to the back, that will give you the 'double' stroke effect.
