The Tree's .. they are a changin'

Our temps have been dipping pretty low at night over the past couple of days... and the trees have started to change. Here is the tree in front of our house ... Yesterday I woke up and saw this one lone red swatch of leaves.... I thought it was pretty striking. :)

Awesome shots kat! Strange how life just progresses. Weird if you think about it but humans are just so used to controlling everything, the natural process seems so much more amazing every year because we still haven't figured out a way to control/manipulate it. The unknown befudles me and I kind of like it. But I fear everything becoming ordinary and in no way striking some day. That would be sad.

Beautiful. Were still hangin out in the low 70s and high 60s in Milwaukee so no changin yet. Its so beautiful though. I love fall :)

I love the Fall, it's by far my favorite season. I love burrowing under a nice comforter on a night when the mercury dips low instead of sweating under a sheet with two fans running. (too expensive to run AC all night) I love only having to water my lawn once a week instead of every couple of days. I love the return of rain. (it just doesn't rain here from July on) I love that everything dies so I no longer have to trim or prune or mow it and knowing it will be back in the spring. I love the smell and crunch underfoot of dead leaves. I love being able to start wearing warmer clothes since my 40 something year old body looks a lot better the less of it you can see LOL. lmao Kool ..... that's great .... and I feel just about the same way..... When it gets crisp outside I love it... I can snuggle under my comforter and still have a cold nose .... love that feeling. I like to see a big gust of wind come up and swirl a whole pile of leaves and scatter them all over the place. ( I don't do yard work so I am probably the only one that appreciates that look )

The Fall is nice but it brings to me sadness. Why, because schools start, the traffic almost doubles. Then Winter follows bringing snow and ice, causing the worst traffic jams in the US and I'm not kidding. Everyone is in a rush to move from one building to the other. Everywhere I go I feel cramped and crowded out. Soon I'll be moving to a much calmer place near Assateague and chincoteague islands in the country where I can enjoy the seasons and slow the pace down a little.

I woke up at 5am and had to put two more blankets on the bed.

It took longer than you might expect though, because I practically needed a crowbar to pry the cats off of me so I could get up. They were apparently cold, too. :D

Yes I love autumn too...We're in spring now but I am pleased about the warmer weather! It's been a cold winter here!
