I have a question regarding illustrator. I have made a brochure. And part of the background is a blue square. On top of this blue squre i have a white box which has text in it. When i save as pdf and print it, i end up have a blue background, and a white square, but there is also a marginally large lighter blue border going around the white box. Do i need to flatten layers or something to get of this?

Thanks!

it seems when i print the document that i am not getting a sharp transistion between layers. If i have a gren box and a blue box, its fine, but when i have a white box with text setting on top of something, there is a margin around the outside of the box, that is the background, but just faded out some. I am wondering what is causing this. Its like the opacity around the outside of the box is not 100%, therefore it doesnt match the underlaying layer. Does that make sense.
Yea, my avatar....unfortuntly thats not my kid or me. Found that on the web, but it cracked me up, when i have kids thats what i want my kid to do.

Assuming you have no effects on the box or text and no stroke?

what settings are you using when saving your pdf out of illustrator? do you have "overprint" on the white box?
