I am trying to export an indesign cs2 file into an EPS file. When I want to open it, the dialog box tells me that there is a postsript file error. The pdf doesn't open, and impossible to open it in photoshop or illustrator. I don't understand what's going on! I have tried different indesign files with no result as well! I have done it before with no problem.
Thanks for helping me in this matter.

Why are you exporting to EPS and say, not PDF? Why do you need EPS?

And presuming you do, how are you setting up the EPS setting tabs in EPS export?

When exporting as an eps, Indy won't let you place it back into Indy unless the preview is set to PICT.

If you are exporting to eps for signwares, or even to edit in Illustrator, use pdf instead. CS2 causes weird crap like truncation, odd (corel-like) cuts in shapes, outlining strokes when you want them to remain strokes, creating point text...grrr...Maddening.

hmmm. OK. Sounds like there's some real issues with CS2. And I just upgraded. Thought waiting a year would clear some things out. Thanks, PD.

Hmmm...bring in eps into indy files, but not indy files into eps files.
Easy fix - export indy file as pdf first.

I really prefer CS over CS2. I get a lot of crashes for really strange reasons.
Most seem to have something to do with the edge of the artboard when
I move something. I save early and often. It is better than when it first
came out though.

save the file as a PS and then open it with Illy [it converts all the text into outlines tho but you'll be able to edit everything else] where you can save it as EPS-
