Does anyone know if Adobe (or anyone) has software that will enable you to wrap text on a photo of a bottle or jar? Or maybe there's a way to do it in Illy or PS but I'm not having much luck. I tried the pinch filter but it doesn't really work well. Help. Thank you.

YYYAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!

In Illy OBJECT/ENVELOPE make with Warp should do the trick for you. There are many different distortions you can come up with. If not exact hit enter and you can edit the nodes to shape to perfection.
You will have to OBJECT/EXPAND to be able to edit colors after.

for me it depends on the angle of the bottle or jar (some can be tricky)....I would just rotate the letters in the angle I want them to face in Illustrator. but if you need to twik the shape of the letters at all, you can throw in the necessary wrap that will give the letter a little vertical or horizontal distortion.

D'signah's metheod would work for something that is fully visible on the can.
Depending on the complexitity of the letters and if they are all fully visible or literally wrap around the can, you may need to use a combo of things (warp, rotate, distory, shear for example),

You can envelope warp it as I said with "0" entered in all attributes, then hit ok.
Then use the white arrow tool to bend and edit the nodes to affect particular areas for a more custom tight fit. This fine tuning may not be necessary, pending on how much it wraps.

Very helpful, all of you. Thank you very much. I'm going to mess with all the suggestions and see what I come up with. So far so good on the envelope warp and that last trick, entering 0 and editing nodes might be just what I need to do.

Thank you!
