First of all, I'd like to thank everybody for all the honest, direct criticism I've gotten on this board.

With that in mind, I know that the graphic design section is the weakest of my portfolio, and I'd like feedback on which pieces to cut completely, which have potential to be improved upon, and which are good to go (not expecting many in the latter category)

So far I've got about 5-10 in mind that I'm thinking about keeping, but would like to hear others' opinions about what should go and what should stay.

Honest feedback and constructive criticism is very much appreciated.

my first honest impression is that there is a whole lot of loading goin on...

maybe simplify some areas a bit like swapping big background images for illustrations which my look a bit more contemporary as well as saving on load time and/or build in some pre-loading

I found your site clean and easy to work.

I don't like the loading fish shape. It's just very blah. Made in a minute in flash kinda look. Considering your viewer will see this shape a lot during their visit, maybe a more detailed shape would be better. I also think it is too large. I don't need a massive loading thing to tell me something is loading. Try drawing a fish by hand before tracing it in flash. Also try a solid shape rather than a black outline/white fish combo.

You've got a nice range of stuff in there.

I'd take out Cetacea Corporation piece. It's not very appealing to me.

Preserve City Park: Replace the grass with grass you drew yourself? It looks very photoshopped. Sorry if I'm wrong and you have indeed drawn the grass and it just happens to look like a photoshop brush...If that's the case, try and make it less photoshop brush life. No big deal, grass is pretty easy to draw...

I like the B with the F inside it for your logo, but the rest of the characters in your logo just dont do it for for me. Maybe it's because I dislike the font you've used. As a creative person trying to sell themselves, you logo just doesn't say "creative". However, on your bc you get away with it since there is other stuff going on.

Not too hot on the Force Hosting logo, I'd take that one out or work on it a bit more. Too many fonts, each element doesn't fit in with the other parts. It's like you made 3 logos and mushed them together to make one. Same for AlphaBreeze and intersurge.

By the way, what is up with the underwater theme? You don't see it in your logo or business card. It's like came out of nowhere???

I have to agree with BudaFist on numerous points, and would add that the VeriSign items could also be removed. IMHO, from what you have here, I would focus solely on print and logo design. If you want to still include the VeriSign items, you could place them with the VeriSign designs you did in the Web Gallery.

I'm not sure I agree with BudaFist about the Cetacea Pets piece not being here. Sure, it could have been better designed, but the abstract speaks volumes about the piece itself. I would also get rid of the "$" and use more professional language to describe the needs and outcomes.

After that, you might want to put all of the logo's together and then put the print together.

I hope that helps :)
