We had a custom project come along, where a racer wanted his car decked out like a B-52 bomber. This was especially hard because unlike normal commercial cars, these dune buggies are always custom fabricated, so there are no templates to use. I ended up shooting the panels with a camera, then scaling them to the measurements I had taken in photoshop and applying the design.

All in all it turned out pretty good, on a side note, I have now added some design layouts to my photo blog, it will be updated all of the time so check back often if you are interested in what im up too.

Looks great D-Frag, I love the bullet holes but I would definitely mount a set of twin 50's on there, real ones, you know, to take care of the competition.

Cool! I wish we got something fun like that here. We did a dirt track racecar once but after that, nothing. I just get van wraps, bus & truck sides/back/fronts. Some of them can be alright but most of the time... no.

What a fun project to work on! and a great design idea too. I bet you'll get others come your way after people see this one. Nothing so bespoke for me yet, but maybe one day. I saw a car wrap advertising a "christian porn website" a few days ago. What on earth is that all about!?!?!

I know, but I'm a little frightened. What if it scars me for life?

make somebody ELSE look at it first and decide whether you want to look at it or not based on their reaction. :D

Ironic, isn't it? I don't believe in animal testing...

The printer I'm working with requests 1/10th scale at 300dpi and asks for work to be done in photoshop.

I do all of my wraps in photoshop at 1200dpi while I work on them. After im done with the design, I take each piece and put it in its own document at 100dpi. I wrote about all of this last nite, where were you guys?? ;)

yeah he was pretty happy with it. it was however the "dullest" looking car in the race, since most of these peeps put a butt load of graphics on there cars and usually dabble in reds and yellows and reflective vinyl.

Looks really cool. Seems like wraps have been quite the topic on the GDF in the past few days.

Looking good. I like the bullet holes too, they are popular in the "matatu" art in Kenya.

looks sharp. The nice thing is the driver can wash off teh dust/dirt/mud and then if people stop by they will be amazed.

Good job. And I would think the resolution need not be that much of an issue as wraps are seen from a bit of a distance.

Yeaaaah!!!! Now that looks sweet! Nice job man. Looks like this was a fun project to work on and it's always killer to see something like this after it's all done isn't it?!?

Anymore of these on the horizon? Keep up the great work.
