Hey folks,

Critique me! This is a logo I did for my husband's company a while back. He's pretty satisfied with it but I want to spruce it up. One thing I can't decide on is color so we've just been using it black.

u want honest opinion....lose the icons... I LOVE THE TYPE TREATMENT right there is all you need, use the icons as another element in something else ie website or some sort of correspondence, I say DO the type alone singularlly its great, perfect and awesome

- Everyday, all the time, without fail!

thanks Drorain..

To be honest, I never really liked the icons either. They were my husbands idea...he wanted a way to distinguish himself from Otitis Media the medical ailment - his company does (obviously) audio, video & film, specializing in audio..hence the name.

Thanks for your honesty. Appreciated!

I love the icones and you can really bang some nice color combinations cause they'll look like little solid blocks from far.

LOL! we are getting you no where fast aren't we?

Anyhow welcome to the GDF!

same with the icons

Thanks for the input, guys -

I must admit I was a little thrown by Benjo's comment about little solid blocks from afar - was this sincere or sarcastic? Little solid blocks wouldn't be that good, imho.
But I might be misunderstanding... which is very possible. It's been one of 'those' days.

Anyway...

No, I meant it would defiently be a good thing.

Icons and in your case the little blocked icons would be very easy to reconize, very. This is a good thing because you want the company name to be reconized quickly for ads, billboards, website basicly your meeting the full purpose of a logo with a design like this.

I think just discussing this topic alone I have learned something. Branding has to be spoted a mile away. Like McDonalds I mean when you see that arch people will know who you are right away. There is no mistaking McDonalds for anyone. I feel those Icons give you that marketing/branding edge.

I wasn't being sarcastic. I think it makes the logo distinct but it's also subject to taste. You might hate the blocks. I might love them but one thing is clear that if you use it on everything the company does no one will mistake it for anyother company. Especially if you format it with consitant color schemes.

This is just my opinion so don't feel bound by it. I just feel like I learned something new about marketing thats all.
