As a first time poster and not a graphics person at all, I have to wonder if the end product is soft on yur bum, now if the poo paper were made out of sheeps wool, I think there could be a market for it.
Yours sheepishly (shall I get my coat now?) Js

i think youd have to be genius to make money off animal feces.
Edit: Except for the obvious fertilizer. If you can get people to touch it and keep it on their desk and next to their phone... well damn. you deserve respect.

Thanks Jacki, that's terribly generous of you! Alas, I have an abundance of poo. Two kids under two years old means my life revolves around potty humour and defecation antics. Here's some photos of why I get home sick when I think of Snowdonia...

The bloke who took the photos is a mate of my parents. It's such a beautiful place, even if it does rain most of the time. We get to go home for Christmas though, so the kids can meet the grandparents!

I remember seeing something on TV about an elephant refuge in India that raises money to care for their elephants by making paper from their poo. Apparently it makes rather nice paper since the poo is mostly undigested grass that makes a very nice pulp for papermaking. (I'm sure this same quality applies to the sheep poo.)
I think the same program also had a segment on an artist who uses cow poo for paint. The artist claims it must be the right consistency (read: not too solid, not too runny) and he can get a fairly wide range of browns and greens. He also collects it "fresh" - meaning he stands behind the cows with a pail to catch it before it hits the ground. His paintings (the subject matter of which usually being... well, cows) fetch as much as $100 in a local gallery.

i've seen some of the elephant poo art in oriel mostyn in llandudno, wales. it was, er, interesting. some was even displayed on varnished poo pedestals. That was at least 5 years ago, maybe more. It's beginning to sound like the welsh are a bunch of fecophiliacs isn't it.

You could always have self sealing sheep poo envelopes :D
What a great idea. The government should fund recycle ideas more to create more options.
Just to let you guys know, we do sell envelopes made from Sheep poo, however they are self Sealing.!!!

Just had a thought...
Sheep is mostly undigested grass which the manufacturers extract from the poo. The paper is made from undigested grass then right? Why not just make paper out of grass and skip the sheep altogther?
Oh right no novelty factor.

Aside from the novelty, it would cost money to gather the grass from the ground; the sheep and elephants will make the poo for free. ;)

You could target lawn mowing services! They've always got grass to unload!
You could even charge them a fee for you taking the clippings out of their hands :)

Thought I might as well add Panda poo paper article to this thread:
Panda Poop Paper Yields Big Profits
POSTED: 4:30 pm EST November 23, 2006
CHIANG MAI, Thailand -- There's the Panda Express fast-food chain. Jing Jing, a mascot for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The forthcoming animated movie, Kung Fu Panda. Even a Mexican rock band named after the cuddly bear.
Not to be outdone, Thailand has come up with yet another, seemingly unlikely way to capitalize on this globally loved, bamboo-munching animal _ panda poop.
When keepers of the country's panda couple _ Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui _ got tired of disposing the 55 pounds of feces daily produced by the duo, Prasertsak Buntragulpoontawee came up with the idea of turning it all into notebooks, fans, bookmarks and key chains.
"At first the Chinese were very skeptical," says the head of Chiang Mai Zoo's panda unit, referring to the proprietary attitude China takes toward its iconic animal.
But the multicolored paper products have proved hot selling-items at the zoo, with the 300,000 baht (US $8,200) earned to date helping balance the accounts of panda keeping.
The Thai government pays $250,000 a year to China's Wulong Panda Research Institute to rent the pandas, who, depending on the weather, reside in either a $1 million air-conditioned cage or an extensive, fan-cooled outdoor enclosure ringed by a mini-replica of China's Great Wall.
Panda poop paper production involves a daylong process of cleaning the feces, boiling it in a soda solution, bleaching it with chlorine and drying it under the sun. Experimentation continues on how to reduce the chemicals now used.
Prasertsak says he was inspired by sa paper, or mulberry leaf paper, a traditional, local product which has proved a highly popular gift item in recent years.
"We tried selling it on markets outside but so far with not so much success," he says. "But in the zoo, when people see real pandas and then their product they're excited and buy."

What?
That's not new!
There's cow dung paper here too!
Cow dung is also a good organic fuel (alternative to wood fuel for charcoal burners) when made into and dried as cakes.
