whats the bigges size you should be on a business card?
by boss is wanting me to use a 12 point on the cards but it seems big to me or am i just crazy...
the font im using is just plain arial...

12 point is a bit large for a business card, but it also depends on who your audience is. Usually 10 point is as high as I will go. You do have to take into consideration fonts and space on the card, too.

Depending on the font, I generally don't go above 9 or 10. I did a BC for an optometrist a while back and I made the type a little bigger, figuring that someone looking at the card probably has poor eyesight and wouldn't be able to read anything too small.

People always think bigger is better. Let me just say if you can read it then anyone can read it. 7-9pts is optimal in my opinion.

We're talking just the small details right? Name, title and company name can be bigger of course.
We did a bc for Foundation of the Blind once. That was big text - to make it fit we had a folding card so we had 4 surfaces to work with.
