I won an award!

I am currently a senior design art major at Drury University and I was notified today that I along with 5 other people was awarded the Devin Prize. It is a prize that is given by an anonymous alumnus for an all expense paid trip to NYC. I'm kind of pumped about this as 1. I have never flown in a plane and 2. I think its cool that I was awarded this out of almost the 500 students that are in the Art and Architecture program here at Drury. This might not be that big of deal to you guys but I think its kind of cool and I wanted to brag about it.

I'd be very honoured too! Heck, it takes a lot less to make me feel honoured. The most exciting thing about flying an airplane is the feeling when it takes off, and the thoughts that follow; "I know this is physically possible, but still, this thing isn't falling down!". Have fun!

Flying is a thrill at first, but depending on the length of it you'll get bored quick. Get a window seat if possible.

Thanks guys, I guess it was for being a decent designer in general. I found out later today that we will be going to several art museums and going on a tour of a huge design firm. I'm super excited! My advisor told me that the plane trip should be pretty fun since i have never been on a plane, although he did say to bring a book or something to read in the airport. So if you have any good opinions on what a good book (perferably one about design) i'm all ears.

Congrats, thats awesome, come over to Jersey and tour my house, it's a mess and I have 3 infants but hey you could maybe lend a hand. I have flown many times and hated almost every time, something keeps telling me if we were meant to fly we would have wings.
