an "M" is 1000.

12 pt = 12 point - it is a coated stock weight. You could ask them to send you stock samples so you can see exactly what they are talking about. :)

M = 1000

pt. is the paper weight

inch is a unit of measurement

$ is a unit of United States currency

Hope this helps ;)

edit: looks like I was not quick enough :D

LOL...I knew the inch and dollar, wise guys. :D

Thank you for the rest, however - very much!

:::happy gitana:::

Wow...so they're quoting me 7,500 copies at about $300? That doesn't sound right.

gobbledy gook to me

They speck things entirely different here/

paper weights are gsm (grams per square metre) ie 80gsm is photocopy paper
and of course we now use millimetre not inches.

This seems odd. Why does the price go down as the quanity goes up?????

could it be a per M price? Cause then it would make sense. But that might be a pretty high per M price depending on what the product is.

The product is an advent style calendar, so it's actually two sheets, one with perfed windows. I thought the price was quite good; I have been shopping for quotes on this product, and have had much higher quotes. I got one from a German company that was in the thousands, for much less quantity.

I'm assuming the quote is the per M price. If my costs remain under a dollar per piece, I think that's fantastic for a four colour job of this complexity. I have requested paper samples, too, so I don't end up with a cheap looking/feeling product.

Opinions are welcomed - I don't have a lot of experience in this area.

I will go over this with the company this coming week and post the results for clarity's sake.
