Since I am just returning to school (after a 15 year hiatus), I will be finishing 9 hours of gen ed. (govt, comp, and history) and just starting the GD classes: Drawing and Foundations of Art. I am a bit nervous, but my lovely wife assures me that I will do fine. Since she teaches Composition, I am hoping she can encourage me all the way to an 'A'. I am looking forward to getting into the 'nitty-gritty', but I won't rush it. I will just take it all one class at a time.
*smacks forehead* and thinks:'What in the sam hill am I doing?' :)

Oh, I'm so envious of your class options. When I was in school (a liberal arts school, by the way) I didn't get any prepress stuff. They had one drawing class offered once every 2 or 3 years. So, I got to take a couple video production courses, advertising, a couple desktop publishing courses, and photography, oh and a basic advertising class. I guess that's what you get with a straight communications major though. Nothing too specific in print or design.
I've been emailing one of my profs, trying to get a bug on campus that they should offer more of a variety. I'm hoping that I could even teach a couple workshops. That would be so cool.
Very cool guys!! :D
fastlanedesigns i am back from not going for 3 yrs.. I know big difference from u but I was a Teacher Major before Graphic Design. That really Fed up my GPA. I am currently working on my desktop publishing certificate then when i recieve that Ill be working on my Associates Degree.
Im pushing myself to do 3 classes a semester so i can get my Assoc by the time im 27 or so.. and i may go for my BA at Temple Univeristy.. (ill have to see where life takes me by then) But its going to be a long process unless me or a family member suddenly becomes rich and i dont have to work and can just goto school Full Time.. heh.
Oh yah and fastlanedesigns, Im sure u'll do great. I keep telling myself that it will give me a better life and Ill love what I do.. it keeps u motivated!!
