hey there, i was bored this evening so i decided to design a little website. Atm there is no real content and some links arent functioning but hopefully, later on i plan to turn it into a fully functional site with various basic PS and flash tutorials and a portfolio of my stuff. I was just wondering what everyone thought of the graphics in general, could they be used, do they look awful and should never step foot on a website? Is it attractive? Any comments would be greatly appreciated!
And just to introduce myself, im 15 years old, very into graphic design on photoshop atm and enjoy designing random stuff as a hobby!

Hiya, first and foremost, lose the black text, make it white or something other then black, it reads horribly on that dark blue. Also I think if you went with something that was not Serif it would be alot better. Actually taking another look, all of the type needs some major attention, including the "Enjoy" part. I think its great that your into design at 15, but until you get some real schooling or field work you should probably leave the paying jobs up to us pro's ;)
I was never expecting anyone to pay :D
Design for the hell of it, if someone happens to like something i do for them, they can have it! Im hoping to take Digital Imaging at A level, cant wait!
cheers for the reply

It's a great way to learn-- I started doing the same thing at your age.
By all means, if you can get paid for anything you do, get paid. There's no saying because you're 15 and have no training you can't get paid to do some work...

Horizontal scrolling is very bad. Your header and navigation take up HALF of my browser at 800x600. Even at 1024 x 768 I have to scroll left and right.
The black text is very hard to read on the dark background. Did you 'design' this in Frontpage? I highly recommend learning to write HTML and CSS by hand. It will make you a much stronger web designer.

Hey, at 15, you're headed in a very good direction. Continue to play with typography and color... and immerse yourself in visuals. Look at cool mags and websites and try to replicate what you see. A lot of universities and art schools have high school classes that will help you get immersed in things...
Above all, a love of design, and the ability to get a tough skin with grumpy-sounding critiques... will get you far. Explore your passions. Some people don't discover they're love of design until much later in life. Having a clear direction at 15 is a great start. Now follow up all that passion with some exploration and the skies the limit.

I had a clear direction at 15 too. Girls. And keggers. Combined? Wonderful awkward teenage angst and embarassingly bad sex. On and skateboards :)
On second thought, keep at it Jme. Go study cssbeauty, stylegala, zengarden.
