A couple shots taken with my gf tonight :) Quite photoshopped, but heck, they turned out nice. Same spot, the red taken 1 1/2 hours later.

That chimney scares me a little. It's like this beautiful nature shot and then a sense of forboding with the smoke etc.

Those are some beautiful shots. The colors in the first one are awesome. I think the smoke stack gives it some real character. Interesting contrast between beauty of nature and damaging nature.

That's kinda what I thought. A really nice scene, then the smoke stack to bring you back to reality. Nice pics! :)

They are nice, with a someone self contradicting quality, because of the beautigul sky being polluted by a single smoke stack, showing the way us humans screw everything up.
It reminds me of these photos by a well known photographer in northern california who took these beautfiul shots of environments that humans had polluted. The photographer even described his own work as having a "perverse quality" because of the way he perfected his angles and the great composition of the peices, yet they were always of a strip mine, or cut up trees, or a landfill or something... so I dunno, yours kinda reminded me of that. Nice shots none the less.

I like the second one. The trees take me to a wonderful place. A place where the weather is cool and peaceful!
