As some of you might have seen, I mentioned going Apple picking with the kids and my sister and her fiance' on Saturday .... Here are the picks from the day ... Some you won't find all that interesting ... have to put them all up for the family ;)

But, there are some that I think turned out pretty neat.

Fun! I miss apple season. I remember going cruising with my family when I was 9 along the roadside stands with the fresh apples in Long Island. I ate so many apples. It was um, rather problematic, later on. But they're so yummy at this time of year! :D I could taste the red delicious apples from your pics, Kat. Although I'm rather more partial to Granny Smiths.

Empire or Bancroft are my favourite. I love fresh picked apples we did a little at a farm near us on Thanksgiving.

There was an apple festival in Ellijay, GA last weekend. I didn't go but I've been a few times before. My parents went to Ellijay a couple of weeks ago and brought back some apples for my wife and I though. Ellijay is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and is also in the same area as the start (or end, depending on how you look at it) of the Appalachian Trail. :)

Great shot Red, I am kinda partial to the red delicious so now I'm kind of craving one. If my boys turn out anything like me our first apple picking venture should be quite the adventure.
