Wow, just wow. I hope back when this happened, the parent who received this letter gave the principal of the school a harsh talking to. Regardless of whether or not this is doctored, I have had the same thing happened to me when I was still in junior high, so it's not really that far fetched.

Not a joke. Not even funny. I've had the same thing happen to me many times.

I don't respect authority when they're right.

What? If I had received that (and it was true), I would have went berserk! That teacher would not have a job after I was done.

Amusing, but sadly not as funny as it should be -- given that there are plenty of loonies in the school system.

True story, when I was about 7 this nutty teacher i had just would not accept that math was difficult for me. She berated me constantly in front of the class to the point I no longer wanted to go to school. One day she is at my desk basically stabbing the top of the desk in frustration with a pencil and well she stabbed me right in the back of the hand. They sent me to the nurses office and bandaged me up, it wasn't real bad but I bled pretty good and it hurt like hell. After getting home from school that day my mom of course notices the badage and when she finds out what happened she goes berzerk. Drags me back to the school, goes straight to the class room and if not for the custodian sensing what was about to happen stopping her I think my mother would have killed her.

Once, I decided to call one of my highschool teachers on some of the stupid things she said, because she pissed me off because she forced me to do her job by assigning us to groups for projects and giving everyone the same grade, despite differences in the amount of work done or even things like who had correct answers on the papers they turned in. To make a long story short, if I wanted a decent grade, I either a) had to let the pair of moronic, hung-over football players that I was always paired with copy my work, or b) make sure they knew how to do it themselves.

This teacher insisted that the draft would be reinstated within the next year. That wouldn't have bothered me that much, but she kept reiterating it, and saying stuff about how easy it was for females to avoid the draft, because all they had to do was go out and get pregnant, and everyone else better start planning a trip to Canada.
I asked her what, exactly was she basing this opinion on. She said that she was seeing a lot less people in her classroom wanting to go straight into the military after graduation.
"So based on your observation, in a single classroom, in a city's who's economy is the reverse of most the rest of the nation (you pretty much just need a pluse to get a job there), we are going to have to reinstate the draft?"
I never had an A in that class after that.
