Here is a low-resolution 3D animated scene from my upcoming short movie. There is no audio on this segment as we have yet to go into the studio and attach it, but I hope you folks like it. Neither has the piece gone through all of the Post Production steps, so it is still pretty raw. And please keep in mind that Video is HUGE in file size, especially NTSC... which equates to about 30Mb a second. So, I crunched this sequence down to 10.8Mb or so, sacrificing visual quality for a quicker download.

oh man, you've got more patience than i do! can't stand the rendering time with the 3d stuff...

Unc, I know what you mean about render time. It's a real pain in the rectum. I usually set the systems to render at night when I am trying to put in my obligatory 4 hours of sleep. Or is that 8 hours, I forget...

I used Maya 5. The textures for the geometry was all created in Photoshop. A lot of fun if you are patient and have the aptitude for understanding physics, relativity, and dynamics.
I don't have an aptitude for all those, but I'm learning... laughs.
