I am thinking about moving out there on a whim.

I've really enjoyed it out there everytime that I have gone... but thought I should maybe get a little more insight than the three times that I have visited the coast.

Seems like people from around the country are moving to Calgary, just want to equalize the population density of the country is all.

Well I do think there would be a better variety of creative jobs out there! Not to mention the ocean. The one thing I miss the most about B.C is laying on the beach, thats one thing Calgary lacks, unless you count laying by the bow river. I don't.

I was in Vancouver on a stopover last year, looked very beautiful from above, and my friends and relatives that have been there say its a great town. I love all the trees, cold doesnt bother me either. I really want to move to a big city for my next design job, and Vancouver is on the list, but I've heard its pretty hard to get a job in Canada if you coming from the U.S.

I've been to Vancouver many times. It's truely a beautiful city, ethnicly
diverse, and with one exception everybody I've met from there or living
there has been really good folk. There's tons of outdoors stuff to do year
round (ski slopes 15 minutes away), tons of night life and lots of
get-away options for quick vacations. I'd love to live there, but I doubt
I could get legal employment being American.

Why/how hard is it to get a job there as an American?
