Has anyone ever had a problem using the spell check feature in Photoshop CS2? I tried using it the other day and got an error message saying, "Could not complete the check spelling command because the spell checker had a problem." I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop.
Anyone else ever have this problem?

I've never used spell check in PS because I don't remember what version they started shipping that feature in. But damn if it's not in PS CS2. Mine works fine however. It could be a font that's giving you a fit. Try doing a test using different fonts. Also, close down all the fonts you're not using to avoid a font conflict, because that could be what the problem is also. If it still does it try try tossing your Photoshop Preference away and reboot. If you're on a Mac do a "repair permissions". On the other hand it may be a library issue within PS. Check your PS Preferences.

I'm in the same boad at Superpie... Photoshop has a spell check?
I guess I've used it too long... haven't gotten used to all the text features they've added.
As far as your problem goes, the only thing I can think of is maybe you ran low on memory and it messed up the program. This happened to me once and everthing reverted back to the default settings. Other than that, I don't have any ideas why something wouldn't work in PS.

I tried some of the suggestions jimking gave me and they haven't worked yet. The only other option I have left would be to start over and trash the preferences file. I am going to try over at the Adobe forums before going that far...

Same here. By the way DrummerHead, I haven't forgotten about the photoshopping madness. It's just been a crazy day. Hopefully more tomorrow.
