A pop-up "Ad" i did for a Multimedia School here in Denmark called "IMMA". Guess i could have put more work into parts of this, especially the Typo...but what...check it and let me know what you think. I am pretty new to all this design stuffso feedback is mucho appreciated. Thanks...

eew pop ups!!! :P j/k
I like the feel of it. Content structure looks good but in my personal view, its a little overworked. The screening look is hot but adding more and more top layer effects onto an already faded image seem distracting to me. The diagonal lines in the corner also dont feel consistent with the piece. Good piece though, just could have been a shade simpler IMO. I think my opinion of 'overdoneness' is a common mistake newer designers make trying to embellish. I think you have a good eye.

Thanks for the feedback...i understand your points. You are probably right that newbies tend to overdo things a bit...but i guess we'll just have to work on that : )...im actually a big fan of minimalism believe it or not. Again thank you for your time.
P.S. Yeah i know pop-ups are annoying and bad...but it is not a real pop-up, you have to click a link to pop it up...but still i get the eew... : )

I'm not too keen on the placement of the larger butterflies, and there's something about the text that doesn't fit!?! Maybe the colours (i'm not too sure to be honest)... But over all, i really like it! It definitely says summer to me. ;)

I like this design. I think it looks really great. Only thing I would change in the placement of the one butterfly that is almost in the center of the ad - because its totally white and in the center almost, my eye is drawn directly to that as soon as I see it. Other than that, everything else is gravy! Nice work!

it's a happy farm
you know EXACTLY what they're growing
and to get there you just head down yonder, make a right just past the expty lot where the old philips barn used to be, make another right by the old dried up creek, follow the fork in the road (you'll know it when you see it), then turn left right after the old rusted up shack. follow the two-track about an hour and you're there.
I'm not a real graphic designer, but I do play one on tv

OK how do I get to this happy farm from new york city? Do I take the subway to the queen's flatbush? :P
yea and Kasper, I like that light linen texture/feel. Has a nice feel to it. Stay with it. Maybe try peeling off some layers. I also agree with D-zine that the butterflies, especially the center one is a bit hard for such a lightly contrasted piece.
