I'm not from NYC. I lived in Queens for over a year but I'm from L.I.
But I can tell you where they make the best Pizza in NYC. And if you really need I'll tell you what train to take.

I was 2! I don't think I had a choice.
Most people who say Jersey smells have just been passing through, and if you're just passing through you're probably on the Turnpike. I can't blame those visitors for remembering the odors you encounter as you pass through Elizabeth and Newark. I'm getting nauseous just thinking of those sulphuric aromas.

Benjo,
What part of LI are you from?
I'm originally from Huntington, wife is from Merrick, and have family in Northport & Lake Grove.
While at it, What part of Queens did you live? I'm in LIC by Sunnyside, and lived in Woodside for 2 years.

Huntington that's funny I just got a job in Melville that's where I'm at right now that's why I moved back to L.I.
I was in Ridgewood Queens, south of Maspeth and east of Bushwick. I like Queens a lot better then L.I. and I moved to Hicksville and I know alot of placed out here like I'm sure you do. LOL!
So what are you doing? Where do you work?

Don't worry, I knew you were joking, just wanted to add my observation/2 cents, perhaps we can enlighten those who think Jersey is the armpit of the east coast. I live about 15 miles or so from the city. <<-City as in New York...

I actually work in Westchester (opposite commute). I am in-house graphic designer for a Sports Club Management company.
Once upon a time I worked in Melville, over at the Huntington Quadrangle doing production for a now-defunct comic book publisher.
For about a year my wife lived in a house in Hicksville, about a half mile southwest of the train station.

I am pretty dangerous - just ask my bf's nuts (he usually doesn't think I'm quite so adorable after that). I really should join N.A.N.K.A.

I work in-house (mentioned earlier), but pick up freelance work when I can. I'd like to devote some more time to that in the future.
