Website for DJ

Hey guys,

Was just wondering if I could pick your brains for ideas. I was asked to do another project for a DJ, he dose a lot of gigs in Ibiza and originally wanted a flash site. However he saw my site and decided to ask me.

Here are some of the things he wants



I would like to have music played when you log on to the site?


Also a download section where peeps can download our latest mixes




The music thing doesn’t sound like a great idea, but is there a better way of doing this where is not just embedded? I am not very technical either. I was thinking of some kind of juke box where the user can select a track? God knows how I am going to do that I haven’t a clue!


As for the down load section, should I just stick to links?

The designs are the easy part for me, its just the more technical aspect of things I am worried about. </SPAN>

The XSPF Player is pretty cool. I use it on a couple of DJ sites, like this djs (http://efrenramirez.net/).

I didn't style it or anything, but it seems like it would be pretty easy to do.

If anyone has any other flash based media players that are skinable please post them :)

If you decide to go with html, might I suggest using an iframe for the content, so the user can browse and listen to the music at the same time - example (http://www.kestwest.com)

I agree neballer. He did want the site in flash at first, but then I told him I don't do flash. Plus he probably saw the price of a flash site as well.

He already has a myspace :D But I know what you mean...he dose want to do it himself he just wants me to to the main bulk of it.
