Gradients in IllustratorCS

Hi guys,

Can anyone help me out. I want to creat my own gradients in Illustrator CS. How do I do it I have tried but I can't seem to be able to do it. I try to change the colour of the gradient sliders but it wont like me, unlike Photoshop.
Any tips?

The best way learning stuff is looking it up yourself in Help for example. I find most of the stuff I don't know in there and read on more than once by clicking on the links in the text and learning even more stuff.

Yup, at least go there first and then if something is not understood you can ask further in here. Asking how to do basic functions (like gradients) in Illustrator may not get you alot of replies when information is easily and readily available in your help menu.:)
