Just a general question here, but why does America and Canada use 8.5 x 11 whereas the rest of the world uses A4 paper (and subsequent sizes)?

It might have something to do with genetics. You see the rest of the world is missing cerebral elements that enhance there ability to effectively select the right paper size. Fortunately most of us in North America smoked some really good cannabis in collage and therefore are able to predetermine the proper paper dimensions for maximum marketing readability which just so happen to be 8.5 x 11.

lmao! I've spent my entire 32 years in England (well give or take a year for travelling lol) and i still can't get to grips with the imperial vs metric thing!?! For some reason we still seem to use both (at different times of course)!?! /emoticons/frusty.gif
