So I created a logo for a company, and gave him 4 final ideas to choose from which I will make minor tweeks to the one he chooses. That was 4 weeks ago. He can't decide on a final logo. Everytime I call he says "Im not sure which one- give me a few more days to decide." Now, he's not using the logo, but I want my damn money and I want to "close" this job. I don't really know why Im posting, as I don't think there's really anything I can do, I guess its just another rant so thanks for listening.

Give him the artwork for all four, along with an Invoice.

I can empathise. I'm working on an indentity and website at the moment that the client wanted done as soon as humanly possible. Great, I thought, quick bucks. That was two months ago and I've only just sent the artwork for the stationery and haven't started the site. Arrrgh (that was a pirate grunt, with a hint of frustration)

yea this was supposed to be a "quick" one too. A logo. Simple enough, even with tough clients, but man!!

Did he say "I want it to have the wow factor!"
"Wild, yet conservative. Outlandish, yet simple. Colourful, bright and shiny with a matt finish."
Send him your bill and a phony debt collectors letter. Or get me to write you one, I do it as a part time job
;)

Take it as a learning lesson and from now on make everyboby pay up front at least 50%. That way, on every job you never walk away empty handed. If they are not willing to pay 50% up front, then they are more likely not worth doing business with in the first place.
