I'm curious as to what project management system everyone else is using out there especially when working on a collaborative project? :)

Good question. I use nothing and it's overwhelming at times.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Any suggestions that run on a Mac would be REALLY helpful.

I have a method that involves forms, folders, a pen. When working collaboratively I add email to the equation. Basecamp is pretty cool though.

Do you use Mac-compatible paper?

I was looking at a bunch of programs for project management, and they're all a bit overwhelming. I ended up just using Omni-Outliner.

But I would recommend Merlin: http://www.projectwizards.net/en/merlin/overview
and OmniPlan: http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/omniplan/

I'm not sure how well they work as collaboration tools though.

I have beeb scouring the internet today searching for a great Project Management Application that would meet a specific needs of my Graphics Department.

As the manager of a small but effect graphics departmen, I have taken it apon myself to attempt to get my team more organized. We need to be able to leverage our past work, pull up previous documents, and such quickly. Our present system is a rather large harddrive of organized project folders, and a txt document in that folder with client information, etc.

What I dream of is a webbased system, even if only held with our intranet, that allows me to record a job, track it, and when completed upload a final JPG, PDF, PSD, etc that is then coverted into a small thumbnail. So when I view the list of projects for client "ABC" I can also get a gallery of past, and even present, projects. A visual archive. Click the image.. goto the information for the project, and locate where the primary creation files are stored.

Does anyone know of a CMS, PMS, etc that would allow for a thumbnail to be included with the task and it's subsequent information?

Thanks.
Aceman/Chris.

Sounds to me like you need some kind of intranet wiki that all staff can add to. There must be many to choose from. This was the first free one I ran across...
