I just found this site and think I might like it here. I'm completing my Bachelor's in Art right now, trying to get a foot in the door somewhere. :)
First time around, back in the dark ages where folks used pen, ruler and scissors for paste-ups, I started out in Art but saner voices urged a change of career path so I did what I was supposed to do and got a useless degree that never got me anywhere. Now that I'm old and too crabby to listen to what others think, I'm doing what I was supposed to do a long time ago. Imagine my shock to walk in my Layout and Design class two months ago and nary a drafting table in sight. Grab a mouse? WHAT? :o
Lucky for me, art students are still art students with different perspectives of the world is a breath of fresh air to this old bag who didn't know she was suffocating until now. Good design is good design no matter how you arrive at it and I still get the idea even if I'm using new tools to get there. :p
So I'm here to gather all the knowledge and insight I can to finally get somewhere. Hope ya'll can tolerate my dumbass questions and meanderings as I figure out what I'm doing and where I'm headed next.
