Using Quark 6.5 and OSX Panther. Trying to get ppds to show in PPD Manager top window but nothing shows up. I have placed ppds in at least three places: System Folder, Extensions, Printer Descriptions; System, Library, Printers, PPD; Quark folder, PPD; and any place I can think of.

Tried using auxillery folder but nothing takes effect even after updating!

In print setup, I've been using the generic b&w or generic color, but I want to be able to use the features specific to my printers as I could with Quark 5.

Can someone please help? :o

Are you seeing anything in the PPD Manager?

Have you went to the printer manufacturers website and downloaded and installed the OS X driver installation? This will put all of the drivers in the correct folders and you will not have to worry about where they are supposed to go.

Thanks for reponding. No I don't have all the latest ppds but that's not the problem. PPDs were working fine in Quart 5 in OSX. There is nothing showing up in the PPD Manager window. Where do they need to be in order to show up in the window and function? I see this as a Quark 6.5 change. Am I right?

Quark 5 runs under classic in osx using different drivers. You'll need updated drivers for 6.5 running under osx not classic.
